Yes, throughout the venue.
Ramps can be provided for ground floor areas. One room in the cottages is wheelchair accessible. Please notify our events team if you would like to view this room to ascertain its suitability.
Coats can be hung in the cloakroom area under the stairs and presents can be left on the card and present table which we will point out to your guests.
Davenport House has extensive gardens and outdoor space, with several areas providing beautiful backdrops, as well as several locations within the house.

Many couples book classical musicians to provide music during the ceremony. Pre-recorded music is also popular, but songs must be approved by the Bridgnorth Registration Team prior to the wedding. There are many power sockets in the venue to plug in a mini sound system or MP3 player.
We only allow biodegradable confetti and real petals which are to be thrown outside so as not to damage the venue or the environment.
Yes, you can, and these are supplied by Davenport House. Please talk to your event manager for the selection available and costs.
Yes, and a number of high chairs are also available.
Unfortunately, fireworks are not permitted. Sparklers are acceptable if couples also bring a bucket of sand to extinguish them.
We cannot allow Chinese lanterns due to livestock located nearby.
If you wish to book a date at Davenport House, please contact us on 01746 716021 and we will be able to check available dates and make the booking for you. You will then receive an email with login details for our booking portal. This enables you to double check the date and price and review the terms of your booking. We can hold the date for 48 hours after which a deposit is required to confirm your booking.
Deposits are due within 48 hours of reserving your wedding date. You can find out more about prices by speaking to our events team.
You are responsible for contacting the local registrar to inform them of your chosen venue, your wedding date and preferred time.

The stunning St Peters Church at the bottom of the drive provides a wonderful option for a religious ceremony. Contact Rev Jeannetta Stokes on 01746 716698 to enquire about holding your ceremony here.
The Great Hall, Saloon and Drawing Room are all licensed to hold civil ceremonies. You can decide which room you prefer, and which suits your guest numbers.
Outdoor ceremonies can be performed on the impressive front steps of the house in front of your guests. The registrars will then invite you into the Saloon to sign the register.
Davenport House can seat up to 150 for a wedding breakfast.
Yes, but we recommend that you share a copy of the directions to Davenport House with your guests.
There is a car park that guests will be directed to on the day with space for up to 200 cars.
Wolverhampton is the nearest train station which is 20 minutes away.
Yes, Davenport has four beautiful en-suite bedrooms in the house and four characterful cottages in the grounds and can currently sleep up to 32 guests. From 2020 there will be nine bedrooms available in the house and the capacity will increase to 42. We can also supply Z-beds for children in the rooms and cottages.
You do not have to take the accommodation if you do not wish to.
Bedrooms in the house are £175 including breakfast.
Cottages in the grounds are £300 per cottage. There is a charge of £18 per person should you wish your guests staying in the cottages to have breakfast in the main house. All cottages are very close by and just a minute’s walk to the main house.
This is something that may be possible, depending on availability closer to the date of your wedding. Please speak with our team if this is something that you maybe interested in.
Yes, once you have booked your wedding date you will have access to our accommodation booking system which will allow you to pay and allocate as many rooms as you wish. Two months after you have booked your wedding date (or earlier if you’d like us to), we will open up the booking system to your guests which will enable them to book their own rooms.
Breakfast is served in the Morning Room on the second floor of the house, which offers stunning views over the countryside while you dine.
